Mr. Gyem Dorji who is a graduate with Law Degree
from Nyemey Village under Tsento Gewog, Paro availed
the fund support of Nu. 100,000 to start his own Dairy
Farming business to produce Milk, Cheese and Butter.
Initially, he started the farm with 3 cows and currently,
he is performing well and planning to upgrade his dairy
Mrs. Dawa Zangmo from Goenkha Village under Hungrel Gewog, Paro set out
her own Dairy Farm with the help of REDCL fund amounting to Nu. 100,000.
Currently, she has 7 jersey cows and is one of the successful women running
dairy farming business. Since, she is residing in Jangsa, Dopshari Gewog, she
supplies her milk to the dairy group established at Dopshari Gewog.
Mr. Bago from Tseza Gewog under Dagana Dzongkhag has
applied for a fund, amounting to Nu. 499,908. He will start
his own Layer Poultry Farming (500 layer hens) and boost
egg production in his area. He has completed his farm
activities with the first phase disbursement amount worth
of Nu. 156,243.
Mr. Dorji Layda hailing from Sherzhong Gewog under
Sarpang Dzongkhag availed the fund of Nu. 262,547
to set up his own Dairy Farming business. The first
phase disbursement amount of Nu. 60,000 was paid
out to construct the shed. Yet to be released, the
second phase disbursement for purchasing of cows.
Mrs. Nim Dem from Ngoba Village under Paro Dzongkhag
availed the fund amounting to Nu. 100,000 to purchase 2
jersey cows to set up her own Dairy Farming. In future,
she is planning to upgrade her farming with additional
funding from REDCL.
Mrs. Kelzang Wangmo from Samar Gewog under Haa
Dzongkhag availed loan for Dairy Farming amounting
Nu. 287,972. The first phase disbursement amount of
Nu. 63,500 was paid out for the construction of cowshed
and it is completed as of now. The second phase
disbursement is yet to be released for purchasing of jersey
Mr. Kinley Wangchuk from Orong Gewog under Samdrup Jongkhar has applied for REDCL
fund of Nu. 95,000 to purchase cattle outsourced from West Bengal and start up his own
Dairy Farming. Daily Milk production of 6-10 litres are produced depending upon the
fodder fed. He started loan repayment from September this year where he solely pays
from milk production.
Mrs. Jangchu Wangmo from Nangar Village from Bumthang
has availed loan for Yathra Production under Weaving
Category. With the first disbursement amount of
Nu. 80,856, she has successfully procured necessary
materials and started weaving Yathra.
Mrs. Kinley Wangmo hailing from Serigang Village, Kabjisa
Gewog under Punakha has availed the fund of
Nu. 250,000 to start her own Poultry Farming for egg
production. She has received the first disbursement amount
to procure 100 numbers of DOCs (Day-Old-Chicks) layer
hens. She is planning to expand her poultry farm to boost
egg production in future.
Mrs. Kinleymo hailing from Wakhuna Village,
Kabjisa Gewog under Punakha has availed the
loan of Nu. 199,280 to start the winter
Vegetable Cultivation. She has started
her farm with Chilli, Broccoli and Sag cultivation.
Mr. Budhi Man Mongar from Sarpang Dzongkhag
started his Piggery Farm with the total approved fund
of Nu. 484,303.89 and construction of pig sty was
completed with first phase disbursement.
Mr. Purna Bdr. Rai from Gelephu under Sarpang
Dzongkhag has availed the loan amount of
Nu. 200,000 to start his Poultry Farm (broiler chickens).
Mrs. Ugyen Lhamo, Mr. Yontoen Jamtsho and
Mr. Yeshi Lhendup from Radhi Gewog under
Trashigang Dzongkhag availed the fund amount
of Nu. 100,000 each for Buray (Silk Garments)
Mrs. Tshewang Dema of Langa Village, Samar Gewog
under Haa Dzongkhag has availed the loan to start
Dairy Farming. The construction of sheds has been
completed with the first phase disbursement and the
second phase disbursement is awaiting to purchase
Mrs. Tshuendu of Nubgang Village, Samar Gewog under
Haa Dzongkhag with the help of REDCL fund has a plan
to start her own Dairy Farming. Currently, she
completed the construction of shed with the first phase
disbursement amount of Nu. 80,000. Purchase of
Jersey cows would be immediately done with the
second phase disbursement yet to be released.
Mrs. Sangay Zangmo from Tshangkhar Village,
Radi Gewog under Trashigang Dzongkhag has
completed the first phase activity of purchase of
Buray (Silk Garments) Yarn and other dyeing
materials from Assam, India to start Buray
Production. She started with the first phase
amount of Nu. 236,554.52.
Mr. Karma from Taktse Village, Drakteng Gewog under
Trongsa Dzongkhag has availed loan from REDCL to
start Dairy Farming. Currently he has purchased 1
Jersey and other required necessities from Phase-1
disbursed amount. He will soon construct new shed for
Jerseys from Phase-2 disbursed amount.
Mr. Sangay Rinchen from Kuenga Rabten Village,
Drakteng Gewog under Trongsa Dzongkhag has availed
loan to start Mixed Vegetable Farming after receiving
Phase-1 disbursed amount.
Mrs. Tashi Choden from Kuega Rabten Village,
Drakteng Gewog under Trongsa Dzongkhag has availed
the fund amount of Nu. 60,000 to start Poultry
Mr. Karma Gyeltshen Sherpa of Rangthangling Gewog
under Tsirang Dzongkhag has started his own Piggery
Farm. He finished the construction of pigsty with the
first disbursement amount of Nu. 221,492.54.
Mr. Rajendra Tamang of Rangthangling Gewog under
Tsirang Dzongkhag has started Piggery Fattening Farm
with 10 piglets. He sells fully matured pigs priced at
Nu. 19,000 each.
Mr. Purna Bdr. of Rangthangling Gewog under Tsirang
Dzongkhag has started Piggery Fattening Farm with 15
piglets. Soon, he will start distributing fully matured
pigs in the market.
